Notably, Sauda Johnson-McNeal, who also stars in the production, has written and produced the film. The cast features veteran actors including Marla Gibbs, Obba Babatunde, and Wendy Raquel Robinson. The opening screening will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM.

On Friday, October 17, attendees can look forward to a cocktail reception followed by the screening of the Oscar-qualified documentary “Walking Thunder: Ode to the African Elephant.” This documentary, directed by Oscar nominee Cyril Christo and Marie Wilkinson, highlights the fragility of wildlife in a changing world. Accompanying the screening will be the short documentary “It’s Our Ball,” directed by David Morrison and written by Judy Marcelline. Both films are presented by Kat Kramer as part of her initiative “Films That Change the World.” The Friday program will begin at 6:30 PM with the reception, followed by a 7:30 PM screening and a Q&A session.

Saturday, October 18, features a red carpet event at 6 PM leading into the screening of “One Stupid Thing.” This film, directed by Linda Yellen, stars talented actors Corey Fogelmanis and Siobhan Fallon Hogan.

The festival will conclude on Sunday, October 19, with the presentation of “Fractured.” Directed by Mädchen Amick, this film features a stellar cast, including Julia Ormond, Bruce Dern, Anne Dudek, and Elissa Shay, who also serves as the Executive Producer. The Sunday event begins with a 2 PM red carpet and a 3 PM screening, followed by a Q&A session. The festival will also feature special appearances and performances from notable actors such as Billy Zane, Peter Facinelli, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Constance Wu, Kathy Najimy, and others.

The closing night of the festival will be marked by a Gala Awards ceremony on Sunday, October 19. The event will start with a 5 PM red carpet. Attendees will also witness a special award presentation to actress Donna Pescow in recognition of her career accomplishments.
