The film features performances by Emiliano Zurita, Alejandro Speitzer, and Juan Pablo de Santiago.

Following the festival’s opening film, the comedy “Mesa de Regalos” will be screened on September 13 at Cinepolis Cinema in Pico Rivera and again at Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live on September 14. This film tells the story of two friends who fake a wedding to generate funds while navigating the challenges of being single. Another notable film, “Corina”, which explores themes of agoraphobia and isolation, will also be screened at Regal Cinema during the same timeframe.

Screenings will take place at several venues across Los Angeles, including The Montalbán Theater located at 1615 Vine St., Hollywood, Cinepolis Cinema at 8540 Whittier Blvd., Pico Rivera, Regal LA Live at 1000 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes at 501 N. Main St., Los Angeles. The festival anticipates drawing an audience of over 10,000 filmgoers, with special Q&A sessions featuring filmmakers after select screenings.

This year’s lineup is organized into four distinct categories: México Ahora, Documental, El Otro México, and Nocturno. One of the program highlights is Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today, which focuses on screening works by emerging Latine filmmakers while also offering professional development opportunities.
