Los Angeles is gearing up for the 55th Annual LA Pride Parade and Block Party, set to take place on Sunday, June 8, 2025. The event will celebrate LGBTQ+ pride with a vibrant display of community spirit, live entertainment, and free activities for all attendees.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will follow a route along Hollywood Blvd, Cahuenga Blvd, Sunset Blvd, and Highland Ave. Participants can expect over a hundred colorful floats and an enthusiastic crowd of tens of thousands of spectators. The lively atmosphere will be further enhanced by a street fair on Hollywood Blvd, running from Argyle to mid-Bronson Ave, making the entire event both accessible and enjoyable.

Major entertainment highlights for this year’s parade will feature headliner Alaska, known for her appearance on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” The festivities will kick off with performances by Da Brat and Jessica Betts, followed by an exciting lineup of additional performers including DIDI J, 76th Street, Laura Bryna, Julian King, ANG, Chanel Jolé, Binoy, Tony Pops, and Debby Holiday, all showcasing local LGBTQ+ talent. Furthermore, live DJ sets and performances will be presented from popular events such as Preciosa Night, FUTCH, Bears in Space, and OtterPop.

One of the standout attractions of the 2025 LA Pride event is a special BALLROOM BATTLE, which will feature performance groups from Houses Miyake Mugler, Ninja, and Gorgeous Gucci. Judged by comedian Margaret Cho, this competition adds an element of excitement and friendly rivalry to the overall celebration.

In addition to the entertainment, the LA Pride Village will be established on Hollywood Blvd, located between Argyle Ave and Bronson Ave. This area will feature two performance stages, more than 80 local vendors and nonprofits, a variety of food trucks, sponsor activations, and bars for those over 21, ensuring that attendees have plenty of options to enjoy throughout the day. Notably, the entire event is family-friendly and free to the public, allowing everyone to participate in the festivities.

The significance of LA Pride is underscored by the declaration of June 28 as “LA Pride – Christopher Street West Day” by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. This recognition celebrates the historic legacy of LA Pride as the world’s first permitted LGBTQ+ parade, which took place in 1970, just one year after the pivotal Stonewall Rebellion.

The theme for LA Pride 2025 is “Pride Marches On,” a powerful reflection of the ongoing activism and resilience demonstrated by the LGBTQ+ community. The event will also honor its Grand Marshals: Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts as Vanguard Grand Marshals, Andrew Rannells as the Celebrity Grand Marshal, and viral couple Trino Garcia and Adam Vasquez as Community Grand Marshals.

With the parade route beginning at Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue, participants will experience a vibrant and spirited atmosphere as they march in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. The bustling schedule of festivities is expected to attract people from all over Los Angeles, contributing to a weekend full of celebration and inclusiveness.

In addition to the main parade and block party, numerous community events will take place across the city throughout the weekend, reflecting the embracing and celebratory spirit of Pride month. As Los Angeles prepares for this monumental celebration, attendees are reminded of the importance of unity, acceptance, and love within the community.
