The Long Beach Pride is one of California’s largest LGBTQ+ events, attracting over 80,000 attendees annually. The 42nd annual event will be held on May 17–18, 2025, themed “The Power of Community.” This vibrant festival will take place at Marina Green Park, which will feature live music, drag performances, and a variety of vendors.
West Hollywood’s signature LGBTQ+ celebration runs from May 22 to June 30, 2025. This month-long festivity offers many cultural events, parades, and festivals, promoting Pride throughout the community.
One of the largest Pride celebrations in the U.S., LA Pride takes place each June. The event features an energetic parade and numerous cultural programs in various neighborhoods, with a concentration in Hollywood.
Scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2025, Venice Pride is a free celebration at Venice Beach. This event will include a block party and an after-party that caters to all ages, featuring a variety of entertainment options.
Santa Monica will celebrate its official month-long LGBTQ+ festivities, culminating on June 21, 2025. Activities will take place across the Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier, featuring live music and local vendors.
Scheduled for July 2025, this annual celebration is centered around the Black LGBTQ+ community, themed “#FutureForward.” It will offer a series of events, including pool parties, drag brunches, and cultural activities highlighting identity and resilience.
Typically held in August, DTLA Proud is Downtown L.A.’s LGBTQ+ festival. It takes place at Pershing Square, featuring music, art, and over 40 queer-owned vendor booths.
The highlight of the festivities, the 55th annual L.A. Pride Parade, is set to take place on June 8, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Hollywood. The parade route will begin at Sunset Blvd. and Highland Ave., concluding at Sunset Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd. Participants will include local nonprofits, businesses, and entertainment groups, each demonstrating solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. This year’s Grand Marshals include well-known celebrities such as Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts. The events will be hosted by Gio Benitez and ABC7 anchors with live broadcasts.
Following the parade, the LA Pride Village will host a street festival on Hollywood Boulevard starting at 12 p.m. and running into the evening. This vibrant street festival will feature over 80 local vendor booths, two stages for entertainment, and a diverse range of food options.
Additionally, various community events are scheduled throughout June across Southern California, enhancing the Pride experience with parades, concerts, film screenings, and cultural gatherings. Highlights include West Hollywood Pride Weekend and Catalina Pride, alongside unique dining experiences celebrating local Pride themes.
As part of the Pride festivities, cultural programming will occur in restaurants, theaters, parks, and cultural centers. Noteworthy activities include exhibition showcases such as “Bring the T,” which features works by trans artists reflecting themes of trans discrimination and activism, as well as ballroom battles bringing the voguing community together.
