Golda Zahra made a remarkable operatic debut in 2020 as Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdi’s “La Traviata.” Her talent was further recognized when she recorded a CD for RAI Radio after attaining finalist status in the international opera competition “Voci in Barcaccia” in 2022. Additionally, Zahra was a winner of the 2015 Los Angeles Music Center’s Spotlight Award.
Her impressive resume includes performances as a soloist in major works such as Mozart’s “Requiem,” Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 9,” and Handel’s “Messiah.” Notable venues where she has showcased her talent include Walt Disney Concert Hall, Royce Hall at UCLA, and The Saban Theatre.
Zahra has collaborated with esteemed ensembles such as the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, Burbank Philharmonic, Southeast Symphony, and LA Opera.
Golda Zahra’s passion for music began at an early age, starting her operatic journey at just four years old while learning music through performances attended with her parents. She studied classical piano and musical theater before dedicating herself to opera full-time.
Emphasizing her Persian heritage, her stage name translates to “flower” or “beauty” in Farsi. Zahra aims to make opera accessible to broader audiences, sharing her belief in the emotional power of music.
